Day 2

Okay, so, today we started off with going to Deb's shop and I watched Deb work on a project and decided that I was going to make a plant stand for Grandma and a mini bat for myself. (a bat like for baseball.. not the animal ;)

Then we got to talking about an art show that Deb wants to do, and we decided on some pieces for it. One of the pieces is a vertical sculpture of an iron bar sticking out of a base with pieces of driftwood stacked on it, they're pretty awesome!






Previously, we had gone down to the beach on the spit and collected all of the driftwood that we used in the art project, and then we went down and put Ralph's boat in the water. Afterwards, we came back to the house and ate the DELICIOUS leftover soup from yesterday, made by none other than Grandma Joyce ;)

    Nice clear pictures. Quite an art project. Good way to use the driftwood. Must be fun walking the beach and finding the wood. Nice scenery shots. Only in Alaska.......

    thanks! yeah I think it's really cool, and thats the first one of a set of three for this project.. it's gonna be funn
